1. Relieve itching

Pruritus is caused by the stimulation of the free nerve endings network at the junction of epidermis and dermis. It is connected with the brain through the afferent and efferent nerve reflexes. Various kinds of stimulation can induce the feeling of pruritus.

The basic unit between the stimulation of pruritus and the impulses of free nerve endings is a medium with physiological activity. Histamine is the material basis of pruritus. It is a kind of chemical transfer medium in organism. It exists in basophils and cytoplasmic granules of mast cells in human body. There is a positive correlation between skin allergy, inflammation and pruritus and the release of histamine in mast cells. Any factor that causes the stimulation of mast cells can make mast cells release histamine from degranulation, thus causing the release of histamine itch. Therefore, antihistamines and stable mast cells can be used to reduce histamine release in clinic, which can treat the common itching phenomenon. As a common concomitant disease of skin sensitivity, itching has the similar main allergen and action way with allergic reaction. Experiments show that inhibiting the occurrence of type I hypersensitivity can reduce the incidence of itching to a large extent.

Oxymatrine has a strong inhibitory effect on histamine release, 0.5% of the dosage can effectively inhibit 87.4% of histamine release, and can reduce skin sensitivity and discomfort caused by histamine and seasonal replacement.

In the experiment, mast cell degranulation (compound 48 / 80) was used to induce the release of histamine from guinea pig mast cells in vitro. Histamine release from guinea pig mast cells was determined by HPLC.

The results showed that Oxymatrine at 0.1% had a good inhibition effect on histamine release, and could inhibit 56.9% histamine release. At 0.5% dosage, the histamine inhibition rate of comfort SGS was 87.4%. In allergy treatment, histamine released by mast cells and basophils can be blocked from the source to attack and sensitize the target organs, so as to achieve the effect of relieving skin itching.

2. Regulate cellular skin immune activity

Comfort Matrine is a bi-directional immunomodulator, which can stimulate the proliferation of lymphocytes at low concentration and promote the ability of skin cells to resist the adverse environment. 3. Inhibition of Hyaluronidase release
